Get Marenated

The right message, the right people, the right network, the right tools.

My job is to take any company, whether it’s one brilliant guy sitting in his living room or a nationwide corporation with thousands of clients, and create a strategy that encompasses those four things.

The right message. How are you different? Why are you different? How do you convey that in everything you do? Having the right message and sticking with it is what makes good brands, great.

The right people. Finding the right people is crucial to the success of a company. From interns to senior leadership, from partners to vendors, the right people ensure that the strategy is implemented.

The right network. Are you connected to the right people to advance your message? You know who you are but does everyone else? The right network is essential in today’s business economy, whether you believe it or not.

The right tools. What tools or technology do you need to create and distribute your story? How can you leverage those tools to make the most of your people and network? In a world where many confuse the tool with the job, your comapny can use each tool for its intended purpose to implement a wholistic strategy.

So that’s it. Message, People, Network, Tools.

Getting Marenated simply means I help you toward each one of those things. Below is a purposely INcomplete list of my services. If I am not the best person to do something, I’ll tell you. But the point is to start the conversation.

-brand identity

-logo design

-business strategy

-public relations

-new media navigation

-community building

-copywriting

-email marketing

-web design

-staff augmentation

-career coaching

-technology selection

-promotion

-media monitoring

Like I said, this is not all-inclusive. I have clients that need all of these things and clients that ask me to help with one or two. I charge hourly, monthly or by the project and my rates are reasonable. Call (402)215-4440 or email me at maren@marenated.com.

Oh, one more thing. I’m not a big agency. I won’t use the term “we” superfluously or act like I have or want a big schmancy office. It’s just me and a highly skilled netowrk of people I trust who are the best at what they do.

Areas in which I have worked in a corporate or ongoing consultative capacity:

-Finance/Insurance

-HR/Recruiting

-Travel

-Non-Profit

-Medical Technology

Maren,

Really enjoying your words and pictures. I have been researching all things Omaha for the last week. We have a meeting in Omaha next week and I aim to unearth some Omaha story.

If you can direct me to some of your relevant posts on the Omaha culture and the current zeitgeist (sp?) it would be much appreciated!

Incidentally, I was reading your profile and we are located in California and my wife is from Duluth, MN!

Best,
Joe

Hey Maren,

Great blog! I wanted to reach out and let you know about a new website I’ve started, http://www.GoferHunt.com. I think some of your readers may find it useful. We connect college students and recent grads with the most comprehensive list of internship offerings in the New York Metro area (for now – we plan to expand to other cities). And we do it free of charge for both the ‘internship-seeker’ and the organizations who wish to list their openings.

We launched three weeks ago, and the response has been phenomenal. Career services professionals are blasting our website to their students, the students themselves are THRILLED to finally have ONE place to turn for the largest and best internship list in New York, and HR professionals are taking advantage of the fact that we reach out directly to their intended target. And in this economy, I’m finding that many more companies are taking advantage of motivated college students willing to work in exchange for real-life experience and college credit.

Our beta site is now up, and we send out a targeted weekly email to all students and career services professionals in the New York Metro area. In another month or so, we hope to launch our fully functional, interactive site where you’ll be able to view listings in real time, blog about internship experiences and other college-related things, and take advantage of some other cool features we are developing.

Anyway, I just wanted to reach out and let you know about us. Any feedback you have would be valued and greatly appreciated. Best of luck in ‘09!!!

Regards,

Jordan
